What counts as a server?
Anything the agent protects: a physical server, a virtual
machine, a cloud instance. Containers on a server you already
pay for are included — we don't meter them separately, and we
don't count a container host as several workloads. A Kubernetes
node counts as one server, whatever runs on it, so
every pod on it is included. A dedicated control plane isn't
counted, and neither is a node that's already a server you pay
for. The trial includes 5 nodes on top of its 10 servers.
And a workstation?
A Windows domain PC running the Segmenta workstation agent, a
separate, lightweight package. It doesn't firewall the PC; it tells Segmenta which
addresses that PC holds, so a rule can say "Finance
workstations may reach the file server" and keep meaning it
as the PC moves between DHCP, Wi-Fi and VPN. That's why it
costs a fraction of a server.
What about hosts I can't install on?
Legacy boxes and appliances are fenced by the managed hosts
around them. They're protected, and they're not billable —
you're paying for the agents doing the enforcing.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing you protected comes undone. Protected servers keep
their rules, the console turns read-only, and you can still
return any server to Learning. Tell us you're continuing and
everything opens up again, exactly as you left it.
Do I need professional services?
No — and we don't sell any. The policy is written for you from
your own traffic, and the rollout is staged in the console. If
you get stuck, that's support, not a statement of work.
Can I try it without breaking anything?
That's the default. Learning observes and classifies
without enforcing, and the console shows every flow that would
stop before you turn protection on for a single host.
We have hundreds of servers. Is the trial enough?
Not on its own. Ten servers shows you the method on your own
traffic; judging it across a large estate takes more.
Tell us your size and we'll extend the
trial to cover it, at the same list price when you continue.
Why publish a price at all?
Because you should be able to work out what segmentation costs
before you talk to anyone. The price is the same for everyone,
there's no minimum, and there's nothing to negotiate.
What is the founding rate?
Segmenta is new. Organisations that start a subscription by
30 June 2027 pay A$15 a server a month instead of A$20 (A$150
a year instead of A$200, paid annually) and A$3 a workstation
instead of A$5, and keep those rates for 24 months from the day
they subscribe.
After that, the list price applies. The offer ends on
30 June 2027.
